supports quality content that strengthens open and informed societies. We assist independent Russian-speaking media in exile, support the production of non-fiction and popular science books, and back innovation that enhances the sustainability of independent media. Our mission is to uphold freedom of expression and advance a culture of knowledge and open dialogue.
How We Work
We work according to the principles of competitiveness, transparency, and engagement. Projects are selected based on merit and impact, and we maintain close contact with our grantees, offering guidance and connections beyond financial support. Depending on the goals of specific programs, we use both open calls and calls by invitation, choosing the most effective approach for each initiative.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support Russian-language independent media operating under relentless pressure, fostering innovation that strengthens the media ecosystem and broadens its reach to audiences in restricted environments. We are equally committed to promoting the spread of knowledge by supporting non-fiction books that explore Russia’s political and social realities, as well as popular science books that help fill the shortage of high-quality educational content in the Russian language.
